The Official Grand Opening of Highland Forest

$16,800 cheque presentation to Maple Ridge Arts Council

Mayor Gordon Robinson and Epic General Manager Ryan Connolly cut the ribbon to officialy open Highland Forest.

A generous act of Epic proportions!

Another cheque in the amount of $16,800 was presented to the Maple Ridge Arts Council on Tuesday, May 8th, by housing developer, Epic Homes. Giving back to the community is something this developer feels very strongly about.

"Building homes is only part of what we do" says Ryan Connolly, General Manager, Epic Homes. "We build communities and long lasting relationships within these communities. Much of the Uplands is built by Maple Ridge trades, employees, and suppliers, and we're proud of that."

As part of their pledge to donate a total of $78,000 over two years, they have, to date, donated $69,000 which has contributed to the purchase of sound and lighting equipment for the Maple Ridge Arts Centre & Theatre.

The developer also chose this day to host their Grand Opening of the last phase of The Uplands community - Highland Forest. Mayor Gordon Robson was on hand to cut the ribbon and receive a plaque commemorating his participation at the event. Highland Forest is unique in that it backs onto protected green land and fish habitats that will be left untouched.

The Uplands now has over 100 families living in its quality homes, and with gardens blooming, children playing, couples walking the wide, tree-lined streets, it has grown into a beautiful and desirable community.

  • Exterior hoses will need to be turned off in the cold weather to prevent the pipes from freezing.
